When I was a kid we had a Spring tradition in my neighborhood. All the kids would make paper cones and decorate them with lace and leftover trimmings from Mom's sewing box, add a loop at the top and then fill them with pretty flowers from our family gardens. We would take them to the homes of elderly neighbors or those who were ill and hang them on their doorknobs, then ring the bell and hide. We would watch from a distance as the neighbor opened their door to find their colorful gift, and delighted to see the smiles spread across their faces. This tradition dates from the Victorian era, and I've recreated the flower holders, or tussy mussies as they were called, for you with this action. You can use any pre-made paper for the back and sides of your tussy mussy, and can color the lace and pearl trims or leave them white. The action, which includes a custom shadow for the front section, leaves front, back and loop on separate layers so you can add your own Spring flowers or anything else--a love note, trinkets, etc.--inside the cone. The action will work in Photoshop CS2 - CS5, and is created at 300 resolution. Outer drop shadows shown on the previews are not included. This action may be used in International versions of Photoshop.
